I can try, but first can you share a model, preferably with jobs you've already done in cam?

Setup is a bit messy, I don't now your machine, so I can give you only some general tips based on your file. I'm little busy now, I'll get back in few hours.

Here is another approach that can work, using Split Faces.  The basic idea is that you use Split Faces to split the top face using the sketch, then you can use Press/Pull to offset the resulting face.

I tried to make a screencast, but it could not upload (low bandwidth network).  So, here is a step-by-step way to do it:

start with a body and a sketch:

split 1.png

use Split Face:

split 2.png

select the top face as the Faces to Split, and the sketch as the splitting tool:

split 3.png

OK this command, this is the result:

split 4.png

start Press/Pull, and select the inner face:

split 5.png

Important step:  In Press/Pull, you need to select "New Offset" as the type in order to get your offset/emboss behavior.  This is kind of a weird aspect to Press/Pull - it will by default think that you are trying to modify the curve of that top face.

drag to the depth that you want:

split 6.png

and OK:

split 7.png

Hope this helps!

Thank you!

Yes the setup is messy!

This part is acting very strange overall, its not modelled in Fusion, maybe thats whu

And the camsetup keeps chanhing origin as soon as i leave the cam enviroment, and i cant change it back, so everytime i need to make i change in inte model enviroment, i've to delete the cam setup and start over again, so thats why,

Maybe thats why I cant get the mustache pocket to be machined proberly, Ive don stuff like this before, but now it doesn't work

My plan is to use a 3d parallel toolpath, within the containment of the mustache countor, and after that make a trace around the contour, but the parallel isnt working correct, so please have a look

Its to be machined in a 3 axis mill

Thank you Jeff!

I tried the first step that michallach81 had in his screencast, and that worked fine!

Because i want the straight walls that that makes, the tip that you show is with walls perpendicular to the top face, and that is not what i want at this time, but I thank you very much for you tip, and that will come in handy in the future, thank you

Hi, I'm back, I've got a short vid for you. I didn't cover entire process of making this part, just made new setup and roll out defaul parallel path on face with mustaches.

To make this part you need first clear some material, plan some fixings, etc.

Screencast:

http://autode.sk/1Ii0hUq

I hope that hepled, and apologize for my english.

Thank you for your reply and help!

Regarding the milling and fixturing iisn't a problem, im a experiensed machinist.

I you wonder why i have origin in a screw hole is because its drilled in the previous operation and is a perfect to have the counterbore dailed in.

Theere seems to be a bug for me, thats why i asked if someone could help, becasue as sonn a i make a new camsetup i can pu a origin where i want, but when i leace the cam and go in to the model enviroment (don't make any changes), and then back to cam, the setup has changed origin.

But thank you very much for you help and time, I'm very cklad that you did
