HELP WITH COPYING BODY MULTIPLE TIMES

Screencast shows how I'm doing it now.  Is there a way to make multiple copies (maybe 20 or so) of a body (or a component) along the same line, spaced equally in one operation?

TIA,

Don

Try Pattern on the Modify menu.

Hi @dghylin,

Thank you for sharing the screencast.

You could follow Mark´s advice to use the "Pattern" feature.

Here is a screen cast how you could do that.

I hope this helps.

Thanks,

That'll do it...thanks Mark and Mike for the quick replies.  Appreciate the help!

The other advantage in the use of the "Pattern" command is that all the copies are kept in numerical order.  The way I was doing it, the numbering of the Bodys got shuffled a bit by the third iteration....:)

I'm getting an issue here that I can't figure out. Trying to use the pattern tools on a bodies, they do not respond to any clicks, they just show the tool tip.

After posting I can see some text 'constrained' showing in the commands sequence.  Is the body somehow constrained by the sketch?

@smallfavor,

You are trying to use the sketch pattern tool.  This tool will not pattern bodies:

Instead, you want the general modeling pattern tool:
