Help needed - creating a channel around a cyclinder

Hi,

I am new to Fusion 360 and I am unable to figure out

how to do something, would anybody be able to

advise me how I could go about doing it?

I want to create a channel around the inner cyclinder that is

1.1mm wide and which extends down to level of the base

cyclinder. It is to accomodate a pipe slieving over the

inner cyclinder, so that it goes down as far as the level

of the base cyclinder. See attached images of the model.

Please attach your actual model, not just a picture.  Also, please give a more detail description of what you really want.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

John,

 

Please see attached model and additional images.

 

What I am trying to do is to create a channel around the narrower that extends down inside the middle cyclinder alonside the narrower cyclinder, as far as the base (widest) cyclinder. The purpose is so that a pipe can be fitted over the narrower cyclinder, as far as the level of the base cyclinder. I hope that this makes enough sense so that you can understand what I am trying to achieve.

Not quite Wersy,

 

The channel is to be on the middle section, so that a pipe, with the diameter of the top cyclinder, can fit over the top cyclinder and then inside the middle cyclinder as far as the base (wider) cyclinder.

 

Hope this makes more sense, sorry if I am not explaing this properly.

By the way, since you are just beginning to learn Fusion 360, take my advise and limit your use of Primitives.

Now you have to ways how to do it.
My was is to make a sketch on top of the middle cylinder and get the circles by projection.
Then offset the inner circle 1,1 mm.

Then cut out to object

But you can do it as well drawing a half section and revolve all together as I did in my first attempt.

Sorry just getting back to you now.

 

Thank you Wersy, that is another option for me.

 

I did try doing it, but as I am new to Fusion 360 I couldn't figure out how to do it from the outline that you had given.

 

I imagine once I understand how to do the steps involved that it is very straightforward.
