I have been trying to make this Jaguar E-Type 1961 Coupe 3d model 1:10 scale so that I can build my RC Car of it as near perfect to the real car as possible But I have no Idea how to proceed. I want the design the interiors and exterior as accurately as possible and then 3D Print it and put in electronics and stuff and make it an actual working RC Car. Can I get any help?

Hi,

With the help of some tutorials by Giichi Endo and appropriate practice, this should be doable.

Hi,

You have the basic resources to start right now. There are many modellers in this forum

and some do ships and some aeroplanes. One of the best methods to help in a model

like this is the three view drawing that you already have. The idea is to split your 3-view

into individual Front, Side and Top views to reduce clutter. Insert the images into the

design as a Canvas. Calibrate and move each canvas so that they line up as close as

possible to a common point. Then use each canvas as a guide to model and shape the design.

Start with the outside of the model first. Shell the model. Work on the interior.

Look up Learn Everything About Design. This is a YouTube Channel that does a

lot of Car designing with Fusion and other tools.

Cheers

Less than a hand full of folks that help here on the forum can create such a model. Fewer can explain the concepts. I would not call that many.

What is the timeline you want to accomplish this in?

What is your general experience with 3D modeling in Fusion and/or any other 3D modeling software?

If you don't have 3D modeling experience You may have to lower your expectations for the time of completion!

@bhuvanpratapagarwal

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file of what you have completed so far to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

You should be able to model the chassis/motors/wheels and similar basic geometry long before attempting the complex geometry of the outer body.

Pretty sure it's just you, gunther, DaveYYCBU and TheCadWhisperer as far as I'm concerned. Drewpans there actually, and maybe JHackney

For @bhuvanpratapagarwal

Just a suggestion, but towards the end/middle of designing this, you should consider that you are putting the elctronics in this car. You should remember that when designing interior to model as accurately as possible as to allow the electronics, e.g battery, bluetooth for controller, ect... fit seamlessly, otherwise issues will occur later on in the process.
