Help deleting weird geometry fragment

I am trying to delete the small pie shaped piece of geometry and can't seem to do it. Part of my goof up was the design history was turned off at the beginning. All help is appreciated,

The best way to delete that face is to start over from scratch. You are making it way harder than it needs to be, two or three sketches and a few extrudes should be enough to build that.

With no dimensions I made the bracket with 2 sketches, 2 extrudes and a fillet. You can look through the file for the steps involved.
