HELP Circular Pattern not working correctly

I am trying to make a tire with tread for 1/24 models. I got to the point where I need to make the tread pattern around the tire. The 2 initial sets are done. I have set the pattern to 8 for both but every time it completes the pattern it cuts an entire layer off the tire rather than just the tread. ezgif.com-video-to-gif.gif

Towards the end of the gif you can see where I had tread, then it went to a flat surface deleting the entire top layer.

I'm sorry if there is something I'm missing or I messed up, I'm still new to Fusion 360 (3d modeling software in general).

try each of the compute option, on of them may work better than the others.  also try patterning faces instead.  try patterning just one feature and see if that works.  if all that fails, file\export your .f3d file and attach here

I've tried a few other ways now and it's still not working. I tried patterning the faces of each tread but it gives an error message. I tried just doing less than 8 and doing each pattern separate, it still cuts the entire layer off. I'm not sure if maybe I should remove that entire top part of the tire and extrude cut through it, then pattern it just to see if that will work. I also tried using the Surface tab rather than Solid but still had the same result.

I attached the file below.

You've got to include the split faces in the pattern. see attached

Thank you for adding the screenshots. I saved the completed file from before and I looked at it but I wasn't able to understand how you did it, but I do now. Now I'll be able to replicate it. Thank you!
