Having trouble with this latching box top: joints and animation

Hi helpful folks,

I'm building a latching box to be printed, and there are some issues with making the latching mechanism work. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong..

If it helps, the component lock cylinder is going to be the drive, pulling the with a toothed hole in the center of it. It should turn and pull the "bolt levers" which pull the latches open and closed. The lid is the only part currently grounded. The part I'm having trouble with is making the latches slide in the grooves in the box lid.

Your model has no joints to create that movement,

Hide the Lid, then create As built Slider Joint, selecting the lid and a tongue, Position on the mid point of an edge of the tongue, mine is highlighted.  Set Joint the limit as -18 and 0, and all works as desired.

You may encounter binding unless this is fixed.

Might help....
