Hello,
I am machining this anvil and it is completely done, except one minor flaw. The tool knicked the fillet on the back radius due to rapid movements instead of high feed movements on the CAM settings. See circled pictures for the location.
I want to machine away the tool marks by increasing the fillet radius from the current .135" to say .2ish" (all surrounding or nearby concave radii can be increased, however convex can not because that material is already machined away). The other side would need to be increased as well to make the part symmetrical (only the other side, not the front half). Everything needs to be smooth transitions/tangential. This part is about looks only.
Can this be accomplished? If so, please step me through the process. The direct editing will not work as it seems the radii that all meet up with each other are far too complex.
I am also open to other ideas to hide/eliminate these marks.
One option could be to move that entire back/bottom face with the fillets attached into the model about .1", leaving all the fillets the same size. Essentially I want it to look good and allow me to remove more material around that back area.
Part file attached (I would stay out of the CAM/Manufacture Environment. It's currently a mess)
Dang subtractive manufacturing!
