Hatch issues in Drawings

Hi all,

The section hatches in the drawing workspace are currently my biggest pain point in Fusion, I'm hoping someone has a workaround. If I have a complex model that needs section views (which all my drawings do), I have to manually edit every single hatch (pattern, scale, and angle) in order for it to be readable. This can take me 15 minutes per section, or hours per drawing set.

Finally, I thought that I'll just remove the hatches from the drawings and do it manually in Morpholio for iPad or even Illustrator...but I can't even create sections without hatches. If I set the default color to white, it still shows up, intersecting the outer lines.

How does anybody else do this? Surely I'm not the only one. Do you create your drawings in another program? Is it possible to create a script or add-in to change multiple hatches at once?

Please help.

Hi @superabundance

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with hatches. Today, there are no global controls for hatches. Every customer request that we get, from meetings, emails, forum posts etc. gets collected and categorised in our feature request database. This information is used to prioritise the features that we build. I've added a new feature request for improved hatching controls to our database.

I'd love to hear from you directly, and to get your thoughts around how hatching could be improved. If you're up for it, here is a link to my calendar, please book a 30-minute session with me, and we can chat on Zoom. Or if a good old-fashioned email is more your style, feel free to ping me Clint.
