Grid snap only working on one axis

I'm trying to sketch a circle... snap is only working on the Y axis. No clue what to do here.

Also, I can't figure out how to get the drawing tools to honor grid snapping along object edges or reference lines...

Any suggestions appreciated.

thanks!

Thanks - Ok - here you go. As you can see, grid snapping is only working in some cases. In cases where I'm aligned to a vertical edge or centerpoint, it simply "slides".

Another one shows that when trying to create a circle sketch on top of another circle, vertical and horizontal snaps along the axis don't work.

Hi,

Activate Snap to grid

I recommend that you switch off the grid and use existing sketch elements as a reference and use the dimensioning tool.

Snap to grid is on.

Sorry, creating extra geometry isn't really going to work... I use grids a lot.
I'll assume this is a bug.

I have checked the grid function on my system and I do not see an anomaly.  I think it is time you used the Fusion 360 Service Utility to Repair your installation.  Here is the link to the web page explaining the process.

Holy cow, that worked.

I didn't expect it to, but it did.
