GoPro Mount

I need to make a GoPro mount. In one of the training videos (3: Sketching & Parametric Modeling), it shows the 3 "fingers" of the mount that I need, but skips over how they were made. There was a forum discussion in 2014, but it did not provide much detail. My thoughts at this point are to make a 4mm rectangle 1.5mm from the center plain, extrude it through (thereby cutting the slot) the body, and then mirroring it. I think this will give me three 3mm "fingers', separated by two 4mm slots.

Is this the best way/best practice to doing it? Any other methods or suggestions?

A link to the actual video and thread would help.

Basically, you need two views or sketches of the mount.  Sketch the side view, then extrude it as a new component or body (if you followed Rule #1). Sketch the slots on the front view.    Since you need two slots, you can sketch one, then mirror it.  Extrude those through the component.

etfrench;

Here is the original video I mentioned for those that are interested. However, you and I are thinking alike and I got the mount created as described.

Thanks for the verification and solution.
