i am new to working with fusion and trying to follow nyc cnc programing. i can get one side to show the coincident symbol but not the other and because of that (i think) is the reason i can not extrude the inside of the shape im making. i am doing something wrong or have settings wrong somewhere.

No screenshot, no model, no screencast, no link to the exact spot in NYCNC vid. Only two lines of text with other sparse info ...

That makes it hard to motivate myself to even answer this post.

yeah, what he said.  here's a screen cast of getting lines coincident to circles.  several ways to make it happen, can be more specific with more info on what your doing.

i played with it more this morning i followed same dimensions but changed the process and now am still suck. before i got stuck when getting the slot to be coincident and having both sides show up that they are in tangent with each other. when i went to sketch the 2nd line back to the middle circle it would be nice and strait and be inline with everything but as soon as i would go to attach to the circle it would throw everything else off. now i need to get the sketches to get cut out. have a link where i am at and also a link to the video from nyc cnc. https://www.nyccnc.com/fusion-360-cad-tutorial-1/

Does the video instruct you to Pattern Features or does it instruct you to Pattern Faces?

OK, I just watched the video.

You did not follow the instructions.

The cylinder and the cuts were different sketches and different features.

It would work the way you did it - but you should Pattern Faces rather than Features. (see attached)

Also, there is a much easier technique for creating the slot than the technique used in the video.   (use sketch slot)  I suspect that was were you were having trouble.

it wants you to pattern features, but what i did different from the video is i did not extrude the inital circle .25 right away like was instructed and now i am unable to get the cut outs in the sketch to remove.

Did you really mean to write "coincident" or did  you really really mean to write "Tangent"?

Screen capture of the actual video with CC (closed captioning) turned on.

Or maybe, in your first attempt you did follow instructions to do as two sketches and had trouble with the Coincident constraints at the ends?

P for Project will help you out in a lot of cases.
