Hello,

Is it possible to save or export designs from Fusion360 to Autocad dwg format?

Or is there any other methods how to get desgin from fusion to autocad?

I can not find dwg or dxf format in Fusion or in cloud export functions.

My partner demands designs in dwg format...

Are you selecting the export command from the Autodesk 360 Dashboard? There's a tip that describes how to export from A360 in greater detail in the below URL.

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/post-your-tips-and-tutorials/data-exchange-in-fusion-360-build-2-0-129...

Doing some quick tests, I note that the DWG still exists on my machine. Are you following the steps outlined in the above link?

Another thing you may consider is simply sharing a public link of the design with your partner. This will give them the ability to select what file format they want to download from the download button. You may need to verify that the correct file type can be downloaded this way.

Below is a tip showing how to share designs in Fusion 360.

I hope this suggestion helps.

Kind Regards,

I just tried this out and it's not a very smooth or quick process. When you export you have to save the export to a project on A360 then you have to fined the export in the project, mine ended up in All Projects > Temp > Files > Cad Files from there you can download. Someone must have tried quite hard to come up with the most difficult way of doing something simple.

Now I have managed to do the dwg export.

The reason why I did not see the dwg option is because I use Safari as webbrowser.

When you open the otions for export file formats there is a scrollbar to scroll down. But on Safari I could not see this scrollbar, untill I just move over and start scrolling on mouse then all formats appear!

I opened exported dwg in Autocad and it seems to make a nice export without any defects I could find.

But this was a very simple model.

Does anyone have experience how complecated models are exported?

Is it safe to design in Fusion and know that all models will be exactly the same in exported dwg?
