Fusion turned VERY SLOW after March 2022 update

Hello, fellow users,

I am wondering if any of you experience similar issues:

Since the March 2022 update to the software, I experience REALLY slow behaviour with Fusion. Mostly, I see this while working in sketches, but also outside of sketches in the Design workspace. It is very hard to pinpoint any specific command because it happens with many/all. One thing is common, though: Fusion just becomes irresponsive. No message pops up, no spinning mouse cursor or anything. I can move my mouse, but I cannot select anything. Keyboard also seems "frozen" - until Fusion wakes up again. THEN my last keystrokes get executed all at once, which often leaves me in a completely unwanted command.

These "frozen" times usually last many seconds. Sometimes it feels like 20...30 seconds. Sometimes it can "just" be a regular lag, e.g. in chat with supporters. Then I see my typed letters appear like blipp, blipp, blipp for instance.

Sorry that this sounds very vague.
I'm using...
i7, Prozessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10510U CPU @ 1.80GHz, 2304 MHz, 4 Kern(e), 8 logische(r) Prozessor(en)
16 GB of RAM
Windows 10 Pro

Kind regards,
Thilo

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file that exhibits this behavior to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Are you using a 3D Connexion device?  If yes, have you tried calibrating it.  Unplugging it?

Hi @Anonymous, Thank you for the feedback!

We haven't received the similar issue for March release. I suspect it might be related with your environment, could you help us provide below info to understand the problem?

  1. Could you help check if the graphics card driver in your system is up to date? You can download the latest driver from the graphics card vendor website.
  2. Could you provide your Diagnostic Log Files and Graphics Diagnostic to us?
  3. Is it happening with any datasets in your side? If it only happens with some special datasets, would you please provide us your datasets? If it is a common issue with various datasets, can you be more specific on the workflows how you reproduce the slowness?

You may send your info to my email address directly LISHUANG.LU@AUTODESK.COM.

Thank you for your support!

Regards,

-Lisa

Dear @LishuangLu and @TheCADWhisperer,

Thank you for your replies. Unfortunately I do not have the time to really investigate this. I currently have a good number of unresolved issues open with your support that already consume too much time.

I was hoping that somebody else had noticed something similar, but, maybe, a little more pin-pointable.

Cheers!
Thilo
