Fusion Taskbar Icon always disappears with new updates

I've dragged the desktop shortcut to the taskbar for quick opening. I noticed that whenever I update the icon goes blank.

I take it this is because the .exe is deep in an obscure folder in my users/... folder and I assume this folder changes each time it is updated?

You got it.

To be clear: there'a a new icon on your desktop after the update, right?

Thanks!

Okey dokey then

Yes I always get a new icon on the desktop. I just want it on the taskbar next to my many other Autodesk icons! Not a biggy but just one of those little things you notice using stuff every day.

Mark,

We know this is not ideal right now but it we are looking into it.

This says Solved! Sorry, but "we're looking into it" is not a solve.

Here's a workaround.

Go to Start Menu

Find Autodesk Fusion 360 in the Autodesk Folder and right click it

Select more -> Open Location

Drag the Autodesk Fusion 360 Icon to your taskbar.  Delete the old icon on the taskbar.

When Fusion 360 opens, it will open under a new start menu icon, but at least you can always start it from your taskbar.

I agree that it sucks that "we're working on it" is a valid reason to mark the problem resolved.
