 Hello,

Anybody else having trouble with the latest patch?

It is crashing more often than usual and opening slowly.

Also having trouble getting the back up file (created when crashes happen) to open.

Win10 PC

Hope your doing better than me,

                                         Ed

It does seem slower than usual. 10-20 seconds slower, nothing drastic. I haven't had any crashes yet though.

@EdDRM - not good, sorry to hear this.  Are you getting actual crash error reports, and if so, are you submitting?  Would you mind also sharing your logs?

Hi Ed,

Sorry to hear of your trouble.

Can you confirm the update itself went okay and that the crashes are occurring after restarting Fusion? You can check the About Box (Help "?" > About) to confirm you have 2.0.2316.

With regard to the crashes/slowness, are there specific workspaces/operations you're in/using that create this scenario?

Or with specific files?

Can you also try restarting your system to see if it helps?

Lastly, having your diagnostic log files will help us in tracking down what may be going on. To create these while in Fusion go to the Help ? menu then select Diagnostic Log Files. This generates a ZIP file of all your logs that you can attach here.

No crash error reports it locks up solid and I must shut it down manually.

I did get done what I needed to tho...I just manually saved a lot more often.

I will try to get the logs to you later on today.

Thankyou.

I recieved a security warning from AVG when opening Fusion here is a picture.

I tried to allow the action but it was denied then Fusion crashed after closing the warning.

I then reopened Fusion and there was no warning or crash.

Hope this helps,

                   Ed

Hi Ed,

I wonder if the crash goes away if the AV is turned off? This would be just to test the theory that the AV is contributing to the instability.

Also I find it interesting that your request to add to the Exceptions List failed because "access is denied". Was this software installed using another account?

I believe the exception we need is for ADCEFWEBROWSER.EXE.

Hello Kevin,

The AVG account is my own and I believe I have full access.

I will try running Fusion with AVG off to test the difference.

Hi Ed,

Are you able to consistently recreate the hang in the CAM space, or does it seem to happen randomly?

Is there a model you may be able to share with me where you can always get the hang?

Sorry you're having troubles in the CAM space - we are actively working on improving the stability in that area (and Fusion as a whole).

Thanks,

Noah

Hello Noah,

It seems to be pretty random if I find something that is consistent I will gladly share the model.

Thanks,

        Ed
