Fusion not opening file?

I've been working on a design all week. I saved it last night before leaving work. This morning, it will not open. I have a lot of hours into this. When I tell Fusion to open the file, it just freezes up. I've tried opening a previous version, to no avail. What could be occurring here?

As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Art

Have you tried restarting the computer?

Did you work on this design on a different computer than the one you are using where it fails to open?

I routinely work on two different computers. It would not open on either of them.

There is one thing I know of that could be going on.

  • Currently when you do exactly this: Press the X to close Fusion with unsaved data, Fusion asks if you wish to save the design, you click yes.
    • Problem: Fusion will close before all of the data is saved.
    • Remedy: Open Fusion on the same machine, Fusion will continue to upload the design until complete. This does not fail.
  • Workaround: Before closing Fusion, press Save. Then try to close Fusion. If it is still saving data, you will be prompted to let it continue, or "quit now". If you let it continue, it always finishes.

This bug is getting fixed right now, but due to tight testing requirements, I can't predict when it will be safe to release to you.

That all being said, you may not have this problem. Just to be be sure, try this if you haven't: Open Fusion on both machines, get logged in. Let it sit for 10 minutes or so. If there is any pending upload, it will happen during this time.

After that, try to open the file. If it fails, go to ?Help menu, Support and Diagnostics, and gather your log files for me. You can post them here or send in a PM. Sorry for all the trouble.

Thanks,
