I can get to the page but only see a spinning widget when performing any keyword search.

Brian,

We're looking into this to see where there might be an issue. Could you send a link or take a screenshot to show where you were looking?

Thanks for calling this out,

Stephen

I've tried uploading a screenshot but can't seem to attach it to this post...

Getting a "Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested" message when trying to do so

Brian

Just clicking "Help" in f360 then selecting the search tab and typing a keyword...

The spinner shows up and just keeps spinning. I just did a system cold reboot. That hasn't helped anything.

Brian

I'm hiting the http://fusion360.autodesk.com/resources page.

I don't appear to be having general connectivity issues.

Going to try bumping my internet/router connection now.

Will try again shortly and let you know the results

Best,

Brian

AKB.pngttaching images to posts and my ability to kudos posts seem to be fixed now...

But f360 KBN keyword search (help) is still not working for me.

I still have this issue.

No change. The spinner just spins when I do a keyword search of any kind.

I can (and have always be able to) browse the help content.

Brian

Hey Brian,

So far you are the only lucky one that has reported this issue. One of our QA engineers created a new Windows machine and new install of Fusion and was able to search in a browser and from Fusion. So, here comes the list of questions from QA:

What OS and version?

What internet browsers have you tried?

Have you ever been able to search in a browser?

Did you clear the cache in your browser?

Can you search from within the product (from the Help pulldown)?

Where are you located?

Can you search from knowledge.autodesk.com?

Can you search from http://help.autodesk.com/view/NINVFUS/ENU/?

Hopefully we can get this sorted in short order. Thanks.

The QA team flushed the servers to clear out some old content. They thought this could fix the issue you are seeing. They were unable to reproduce the problem so they could not test and confirm. Let me know whether you see an improvement. If not, we'd need the info from my previous post to try to duplicate and then track down what is going on.

Thanks.

Patrick

What OS and version?
Win8.1
I have a system NFO file if you'd like it.

What Internet browsers have you tried?
Chrome-broken
IE-AOK
Firefox-AOK

Have you ever been able to search in a browser?
Can using browsers other than Chrome

Did you clear the cache in your browser?
Yes, no change

Can you search from within the product (from the Help pulldown)?
This launches the site in Chrome (which doesn't work)

Where are you located?
Rhode Island, US

Can you search from knowledge.autodesk.com?
Yes

Can you search from http://help.autodesk.com/view/NINVFUS/ENU/?
No

Looks like I have the same issue when trying to search here too:
http://help.autodesk.com/view/INVNTOR/2015/ENU/

I have another system here which is also running Chrome and it is working fine.

So to state the obvious here...
This issue appears to be isolated to searching help site(s) using the installation of Chrome on this system.
(that's a pretty narrow scope and not really your problem)
That said, think I'll rip chrome off of this system and try reinstalling it.
This seem worthwhile to you?

Best,
Brian

It occurs to me... My Win8 system is running the 64bit version of Chrome.

Other system here (Win7) is running 32bit version.

Just thought I'd mention that in case it helps.

Best,

Brian
