Fusion crashes on attempt to add a line to a sketch imported from multiple DXF

Issue:  Fusion crashes when a line is added to a sketch imported from DXF files.

Expected behavior: Fusion should not crash. Fusion should work with DXF files as if they had been created as normal sketches within Fusion.

Reproduction steps:
Import multiple DXF files into a single sketch.
Attempt to add a line between corners.
Fusion will crash and exit immediately with no error dialog.
File was at least recoverable, but I can replicate the crash at will.
I can share the project to reproduce the result every time.

Can you export the f3d file and attach, use Export on the file menu. Also might be worth attaching the DXF as well.

Thanks Mark

I'm going to try this again. The last time I got a lovely error from the website, looked like this:

Internal Server Error - Read

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Reference #3.ec2f0e6b.1538033059.cb521f

If you actually cut and paste something like that, it refuses to post it, saying this:

Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.

Website is not only buggy, but slow!

Anyway, getting back to the topic at hand:

In the enclosed F3D, to reproduce error, simply draw a line from the line in the upper left corner to the one in the lower right. As if you wanted to bisect the sketch to find the center or something. Like I did.

Platform is Windows 10.

Does Fusion run on other platforms?

Does any paid engineering software run on other platforms?

Although Fusion shouldn't crash with this file I'm not surprised. There are no circles, arcs or curves in the sketch, just lines. I'd guess there are over a thousand line segments in the sketch and Fusion can not handle that much data in a single sketch. Where did the DXF come from, can it be exported with circles and arcs? If all the DXF files you need to work with are like this you might want to look at some other software because Fusion isn't going to cope.

You might have more luck if you can put the DXF on different layers so each layer create its own sketch and hide parts you don't need.
