Fusion 360 - Sketching 3D arc

Is there a command to allow sketching a 3d arc?  I see in the API there is a create3D arc command available but can't find it in Fusion.  Is it only available through the API?

Depends on your definition of 3d arc.

3 point arc with 3d sketching triad, should work, but never needed one.

Concidering any 3 points in space will be planar, it would be 2d , no?

Might help....

Thank you.  That may work.  I guess what I want is not technically an arc.  A helix may be a better term.

I just saw it mentioned not he API but never saw anything directly in fusion.

I have no idea relative to API.

Most 3d Sketches are developed from solid geometric bodies,

Coil command will give you a Helix curve from an edge,

Become familiar with Sketch > Project > Include 3d Geometry.

So no,  drawing a 3d arc is difficult to manage, and there are simpler ways to get them.

That said, no file pic or Screencast - it’s my 2 cents.

Thanks @davebYYPCU

I was really looking for just simple sketch 3d arc and sketch geometry helix.  I understand there may be some ways to create it but they honestly seem a little cumbersome.   The coil command seems like they tried to combine the sketch helix and sweep cut in one command.   I SolidWorks they are separate and allows me to sweep my own profile around the sketch helix.

Thanks for your time on this.

You are looking in the wrong tool.

Autodesk Inventor Professional is the MCAD equivalent of SolidWorks, not Fusion 360.

In Inventor you can do a 3D Helix or any Equation Curve...

Thank you @TheCADWhisperer

I am familiar with Inventor.  I already have a CAD package that can handle it and have been doing it for years.  I was specifically wanting to change to fusion for the designs since we already use it for the CAM.  I will just keep things the way the are.
