Fusion 360 PDM questions

Greetings,
we as a company face an inevitable problem: BOM and PDM to accelerate and avoid errors in the development process.

First, a little bit about the company: Gideon Brothers makes autonomous mobile robot platforms.
Our core focus is the development of autonomous, collaborative AI-powered robots for unstructured, indoor,  human environments and the development of autonomy technologies for various industries.

The mechanical engineering team is comprised of 3 mechanical engineers working on all the components, having XREF's all over the place, many joints moving in the main assembly, and all the other stuff that goes with it.

Fusion 360 is handling that very well. Some joints and motions are stuttering, but we can see the motion limits. We do learn every day how to use it better. We do have some problems, but they are mostly resolved by enough clicking.

Our next challenge is making a BOM for production planning. we explored the Product Planner by Dragon Innovation, and it lacks something that we would like to have, that is time-based status (design ready, in stock, archive and similar) of various components.

Second, Fusion Lifecycle isn't available to buy in Croatia. There is an Autodesk Gold Reseller "Prior" in Croatia, and we contacted them about this problem, it seems nothing can be done. We are interested in buying software if it could help us to achieve our goals for a reasonable price, obviously. I contacted someone in Autodesk via Twitter PM and email, but no option to purchase for now. Does anyone have any news?

Third, we have tried Bommer for Fusion 360 in a phase we didn't have the need for BOMs, so the next step would be to purchase it if it fits our needs.

Do you have any advice for structuring a good PDM system/process with Fusion 360? We are setting up Excel, but it also has its limitations despite being a universal tool.

Thank you all for the suggestions
Regards,
Dean

Hi, yes we did. I connected our project to openBOM but when importing data something went wrong. So I stopped trying to use it because we needed to focus on other things. Bommer seems to have what it takes but we also need to adapt and learn some new ways to do things correctly.
Thanks for the answer.
Best regards
