Fusion 360 injection simulation - After creating the initial simulations make design changes and results become outdated.

After creating the initial simulations make design changes and results become outdated.

I've read the advice and make some design changes. The initial body is not changed. I create a copy and of the body and make the necessary changes.

Going back to simulation workspace the previous studies become outdated.

The objective is to clone the injection studies and later compare.

The information outdated on the old studies is not ok to show in the browser. Is there a way to stop this?

Is there a better/preferred way to do this study iterations?

Study depends on Simulation model which in its turn depends on initial design.

So any time you make any change in design workspace it dirties all the downstream entities - simulation model, study and study results.

The only way to keep your results non-outdated is to make changes in cloned simulation model, and not the initial design itself and not initial simulation model.

It's odd way but it works. As soon as you're happy with results you can make similar change in initial design (and outdate all the results in simulation).

I face the same in generative design workspase so I get used to making changes in cloned generative models.

Wouldn’t be grate that coming back from Design mode and having a new version number the user wold get a new simulation model?
