Fusion 360 forces creating a team hub

Hello there,

A friend of mine has started working on F360 recently and today something odd happened ...

When he opened Fusion, Fusion forced him to create a Team Hub, and by forcing I mean he couldn't access anything in Fusion until he creates a Team Hub, so he did create one ...

The issue is that the personal storage was no longer accessible from his data panel ... only the Team Hub he Created ...

Moreover, when he opens the A360, it says that he's an editor and not an admin!

And it only gets stranger ... when i logged to his account from my computer, there was a project called Admin in the data panel, and all his personal storage files were there, i could see them in both the data panel and the A360 BUT he couldn't!!! even through the A360 he couldn't see his personal storage, which I was able to see them on my computer

That's the first time i encounter such a thing, any ideas???

Regards,

Saeed

My friend the one having this problem is working for a university submission, so i downloaded the .f3d files from my computer and sent them to him so that he doesn't lose more time, so it's okay if it take time

Hi @SaeedHamza,

thanks for posting!

Can you provide the affected user email address?

If this particular account works fine at your end, it seems to be related to his machine configuration. Probably a clean automatic uninstall of Fusion 360 desktop app, and cleaning the web browser cache could resolve this issue.

Hi @SaeedHamza ,

I just want to add to Robert's post up above. Can we get a bit more information/screenshots of what you guys are seeing? The message to move to Fusion Teams is intentional. For some users that is not an owner of a Team hub or their Team Hub is not the default hub, a notification pop up can appear in Fusion 360 - that states you should upgrade to Fusion Team by Creating or Joining a Fusion Team OR be reminded next time you launch Fusion 360.

From this, it sounds like a Fusion Team hub was created in your scenario, which means the next step in the dialog is to transfer all the projects from the Personal (Single User Storage Hub) to the Fusion Team Hub. The fact that the data ended up in the Admin project seems very strange. I would be curious if you visit login.autodesk360.com - and switch to the team hub - what you see.

One VERY IMPORTANT note to make about Fusion Team! Fusion Team has many more security levels and features. As a result, there are types of projects (Secret, Closed, and Open) and roles for each member in the hub (Team Admin, Team Member, Project Contributor). The Admin project is a Secret project (which means it cannot be seen unless you are explicitly apart of the project).

The Team Admin is likely the user who created the Fusion Team. They should do this:

  1. Visit login.autodesk360.com and switch to the Team Hub
  2. Click the user profile in the upper right, and select Admin. [Only the Team admin in the Team Hub, will see this option]
  3. Under Members, make sure all appropriate members have the right member status. Project Contributors are the LOWEST level of access, and can only contribute/see projects they are explicitly invited to.
  4. Under Projects, you can now see an entire listing of Projects - whereas in the normal view you likely only saw what you had access to. In here, you can toggle Project Admins to administer each project at this level.

I'm sorry for the long novel of information, but it is important to note! Let me know if you still have questions, and please post any screenshots you have that may help describe what is going on.

Thanks,

Thanks Everyone for taking the time to look at this

@robert.filiks  here is the email : adelamierh@gmail.com

Here are some images @James.Youmatz asked for that might help you identify if this solution u mentioned of uninstalling might work, which i think it might actually be the problem since as i mentioned, from my computer i see the projects and from the owners computer he can't.

Looking forward to your reply

@James.Youmatz Here are some images of what i see when i login to that account

Also i would like to mention that when i change the role from Editor to Admin, it stays as Editor so I'm confused

This next image is what i see on my computer, the owner of this account having this problem can't see any of it except for the Trash option

Which makes @robert.filiks  idea more scene i guess

And here is what the owner sees from his Data Panel regarding switching between a Team Hub and a Personal Storage
