Is it possible to increase or remove the maximum mesh size for NASTRAN in Fusion 360? I'm trying to mesh and run a set of simulations in Fusion, but keep hitting this maximum mesh size error:
Error: The current maximum mesh size of 7600000 elements has been exceeded. Please increase the average element size and/or simplify the model and try solving again.
Error: Internal solver error
This is running on a cloud workstation with terabytes of memory of available, so exhausting memory isn't a concern and simulation solve time can take as long as it needs. Meshing completes seemingly successfully and these errors are only thrown when the simulation tries to run. I don't pretend to be a FEA expert, but it has been simplified as much as possible and is just a large assembly with a wide range of part sizes.
Do I need to modify NASTRAN.INI? Is there a flag I flip somewhere? Any help on removing the maximum mesh size would be a huge help.
Apologies if this isn't the right forum. Never was quite sure which product Fusion's NASTRAN implementation was part of.
