Fusion 360 constantly hanging

Working on a drawing that I dont think is all that complex.  I'm at a point where the file is almost a do over as every 3 or 4 operations and the app hangs for several minutes.  How do you go about trouble shooting that sort of thing?

you share the model here, and let others help you.  My guess is "not that complex" is pretty complex, but hard to say without a bit more information.  Do you have large sketches, perhaps imported from SVG?  Do you use a lot of sketch patterns?  Large feature patterns (are you trying to model a dense mesh of holes, for instance)?
