free edges from loft can't stitch

Hello

I worked on this model and sort of ignored the issue. But now it would actually be nice to be able to make everything into one body. 

I don't know if the timeline stays where I put it for you too see.. But I'm trying to stitch and the patches I made keep giving red edges. I've looked at other questions here but don't seem to find a solution. I've done this before but only where the faces where split in half. So using the 'split faces tool here seemed like a lot of work (  i think it makes more sense when you see the model) 

Anyway, I really hope there is a solution to this..

You have a lot internal faces.
To be able to stitch, the inside must be absolutely empty.
