Form workspace tips and tutorials?

Hey guys im looking for some help with the  form workspace under design. im not finding much info out there. basically we are prototyping something, i have it sculpted to shape. but now i need to kind of form it around another shape. which i can do but doing so makes my part really thick in some areas when im hoping to keep it slender or constant width. i had to sign a NDA for this so i cant share any info really. 

if anyone can point me in the right direction as far as tuts and such that would be helpful!
