hello everyone!

i am new in designing and i am exploring my designing skills.

i wanted to design a 3 wheeler fork but i am stuck at the point of casting assembly and selecting different planes. cAN Anyone help me out of this and make a suitable design.

i am posting a snap of the fork i am tryin to designappe-fork-250x250.jpg

I think you were being asked to share the file you have got done so far so we can see where you are up to.

 

File > Export to your hard drive, then attach like email in this page lower down, Attachments, browse and add the file in the box.

ohh I'm sorry ! i thought you were asking for the design which i'm trying to make.

In the link is the design which i've come up with.

There are  many things to be modified and i want suggestion on those parts.

1] the design is non co planer and i am not finding an appropriate command to design the pipe[neither sweep nor pipe is working well.]

2] that casting is again on different plane (angle 100 degree) from horizontal, but its not working either

Please help me

Hi,

 

You've got a lot of problems in your design ...

 

1- The picture you attached above shows that you have at least 3 main components to assemble, but they are actually one body and not even a components. You need to understand that joints only work for components and not bodies, so you need to create each part separate form the other as a single independent component so that you can assemble them as you like.

 

2- Why are bodies 5 and 6 separate from body 4? and even if you want them originally for some reason to be separate, then use a rigid joint between them and body 4 so that when you assemble body 4 ( which needs to become a component, also 5 and 6 ) with another component, bodies 5 and 6 will remain attached to body 4.

 

One final thing to say is that I recommend you to create each component separately on an origin plane, and then position them wherever you want using joints instead of making all these construction planes, which I believe you were using them trying to create the components already in the place where you want them to be, but that's wrong!
