When you chose a font height is determines the sourrounding text box and not the actual font. This makes it troublesome when drawing letters for cut a cut out.

Or am i doing something wrong?

Hi @infoYYJRS,

Thanks for posting!

To get correct height follow the steps below:

  1. Create a sketch with a digit/letter that needs to have a specific height, using the desired font and a text box height of e.g 10 mm.
  2. Extrude the sketch.
  3. Use the "Inspect" feature to measure the resulting height of the said digit/letter.
  4. Go to "Modify" -> "Change Parameters".
  5. Create a text scale user parameter (10 mm divided by the height measured in step 3).
  6. Repeat step 1, defining the text box height as 10 * text scale user parameter.

Or alternatively, use text scale with the scale on the first dimension:

Hi @infoYYJRS ,

This is a known limitation we are in the process of correcting. We are working on a project to correct a number of limitations in Text and separating the frame size from the actual text size is part of that work.

Thanks,

John
