Flat Pattern on converted sheet metal part

I am learning the sheet metal environment and am having trouble with a simple solid I converted to sheet metal.  I am trying to create a flat pattern.

probably a problem with how the original solid was created.  can't tell from pic, but that body looks like it has compound curvature.

attach a .f3d file to get target help.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

This curved body will not directly create a flat pattern, you can however use a rather length process of using a sheet metal body to combine with it to get our desired flat pattern.  The Screencast will outline the process.  The Model I used in the video is attached.

WOW! Thanks so much for the response.  This helps ALOT.  

a little extra work for sure, but a good work around.  If would be nice to see Fusion allow for flat patterns more generally , but until then  I will be using this method
