File disappeared

Hello,

I had a file called "Insert", which was in this folder: https://myhub.autodesk360.com/ue29df665/g/projects/2015082416043006/data/3096224755316426

Sometime in the last week, it mysteriously disappeared. I definitely didn't delete it, and no one else would have gone into that folder. Can you help recover it?

Thanks,

Owen

One thing you can try is, start Fusion and go to Offline mode and see if it shows up in your recent file list, sometimes syncing to the cloud losses track of a cached file.

If it's there open and resave with a new file name then go back on line.

Mark.

I see a few offline files, but not the one I need. Is there a place on my computer that other cached files might be?

Did you save to the cloud and search for the file on your computer or did you save to that folder yourself. Fusion only keeps file in the local cache for 15 days unless you changed the default so that's probably why it disappeared. There is a search facility in Fusion's data panel if you're not sure where you saved to.

Edit. I miss read the path in your first post, ignore the first part of my post about files stored on your computer. The search might help though.

No luck, the search returns zero results. Very odd. Thanks for trying to help.

Hi Owen,

It might be possible to look through some server logs for traces of this file. To provide a starting point for our search, could you collect your Diagnostic Log Files (as shown below) and forward to me at matt.pooley@autodesk.com. If you could also provide any additional information such as whether the file had a lot of versions, or when you might have last saved the design, it would help as well.

I actually found a much simpler way to make the part, so I no longer need the missing file. Thank you for your help though! I appreciate you taking the time to look into this for me.
