saluti

Hi, why in fusion can't you offset a line that had already been offset previously? but do I always have to start from the origin? In all the programs I've used, from autocad to solidworks they have this mode, in fusion 360 they don't. It also doesn't even allow you to offset a line simultaneously left and right (bidirectional), which so many other programs do. Am I doing something wrong? any option to activate?

No, you are not doing anything wrong.  I do not know the program reasons for this but you cannot use an offset edge to create another offset.

No, you are not doing anything wrong. I, at first, found Fusion 360's Offset "Limitation" a bit annoying but now I find it quite comforting to be told that an offset already exists when I attempt to Offset an offset. I think now it is a good discipline.

saluti

Honestly, for years I've used autocad and solidworks and in these programs you can offset another offset, I don't like how fusion 360 handles the offset, I find it very uncomfortable (I have to get used to it). I hope in the future Autodesk inserts an option where one can choose how to handle the offset, either as it is in fusion or as it was in autocad.

Greetings
