F3D Files and "Create Fusion Design"

Hello all,

I was receiving constant error messages that my designs could not be uploaded to the cloud, so I exported my files as F3D's and then cleared the cache and reinstalled the software.

After trying to reopen these files, Fusion tells me it isn't possible. I go to myhub and upload the files directly there, then I still can't open them. I right click on the files inside the software, and attempt to "Create Fusion Design", and clicking that option doesn't do anything at all!!

Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.

George

Re-install is not a good solution unless Fusion crashes on start.

When you did the uninstall, did you use the Clean Uninstall steps from the readme page? Here is the link:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-and-documentation/fusion-360-readme/td-p/4311780

If you did not, you may continue to have issues.

Also, you must upload the files via the Fusion 360 Upload command. This sends the files through our translators and places them as Fusion designs in your data panel.

When you upload on A360 you are uploading them as "data", which is allowed for all file types. Any 3D CAD file needs to do the remaining translation work at this point. This is what "Create Fusion Design" does. It performs the rest of the translation into design data for Fusion.

Before you wipe out Fusion again, can you send us your diagostic files?

Thanks, please let us know if this helps.

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the response.

I tried to upload through Fusion itself, and just got blank progress bars.

Where should I send my diagnostic to?

Thanks

George, please send me your log files.

After that, can you confirm if you performed the clean uninstall steps?

Thanks,
