F360 does not pick the expected project !

Hi,

I'm facing a very strange situation I could not find any solution at this moment.

I have created few components, some are assembled on a PCB.

Now time is to create a case for my project.

I have done two assembly trials, and wanted to create a case for the second version.

Here is how the assembly looks like :

I'm creating a new project, then I pick up from my project the one above

=> you can see at the bottom the cylinder.

After I drag an drop to me new project, I'm actually getting the wrong assembly 😳. See below

=> you can check the component name is the same as the one I've just shown above, the the way the pieces are assembled is incorrect !

How can this be and how could I fix this ?

thanks for your help, I'm currently stuck in my project.

thanks!
Michel.

Hi,

yesterday I tried to make a small modification on the original assembly so that the tool will ask to update in the new project. My hope was that update will sync-up things, but it did not.

This evening, I've played around with joints, and added few joints to the assembly (still fighting for one component that do not act as a whole but this is another subject 😉 ).

After doing those changes, I went back to the new design. F360 asked me to update to the latest version and this time I got the correct assembly, as I expected for so long 😀 👍

So the glitch has disappeared by itself...

I'm no longer stuck, but would be glad to know if the issue was just a bug, or if I may have done something wrong ?

thanks,

Michel.

Hi,

apparently no one else had this problem. I'm going to close this subject as I'm no longer stuck.

I think there has been an issue in the tool, but I understand this is probably hard to find the root cause.

I hope it'll not happen again!
