F360 CAM tutorial files missing?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I uploaded the trial version of F360 6 days ago and have been working throught the tutorials via PDF documents but can't find a way to upload the F360 tutorial files.

For example, I the following file is not there:

"In the Samples section of the Data Panel, browse to:

Samples > Basic Training > 03_Sculpting_Introduction.f3d

Open the design and follow the steps to complete the lesson."

My sculpting introduction file is empty, and there is no upload symbol, and I can't find the files on your web site or a solution that works for me on your forum.  Probably a simple solution, but I'm baffled.

You are referring to this tutorial, correct?

http://fusion360.autodesk.com/learning/learning.html?guid=GUID-A0F0D052-A500-4632-8E35-347D98ED4AE6

For the beginning of this tutorial you are supposed to start with an empty scene and add in a T-Spline Box primitive. So it's okay that the file looks empty.

Later on in the tutorial you will use sketches that are already defined in the file. They are set to hidden by default, but you can show them by clicking on the light bulb icons as shown below.

Your answer doesn't fix the problem. I've just instralled Fusion 360 and I'm working through the tutorials and I can't open any files because there are NONE to open. Going to the Basic Training Project and opening 03-Sculpting folder results in an empty folder, there is NO 03_Sculpting_Introduction.f3d file to open. As amatter of fact all the folders in the Basic Training Project are empty. How do you load the Basic Training project into Fusion 360? It is supposed to be part of the Fusion 360 installation.

UPDATE.

I had been running Fusion 360 in a small window so that I could read the tutorial and follow the instructions in Fusion 360, the Basic Training project that I was selecting was just visible. When I expanded Fusion 360 to full screen I noticed that there were TWO project entries for each set of samples. The first set of sample projects have a description attached to them and are empty of files, the second set has no description, opening this Basic Training project and selecting the 03-Sculpting folder, there were the files.

The sample projects need to be fixed so that there is only one entry for each project!!!!!!!

Two entries for each sample? That doesn't sound right. Would you be willing to attach a screenshot so I can submit an issue report? If you remember any data management actions you took, it could help too.

Sorry about that but thanks for the report,

Max

Max,

Started Fusion 360 this morning and everything is as it should be, only one set of samples and files.

Yesterday was the first time using Fusion 360, all I did was follow the tutorials from Getting Oriented to Sculpt, when I struck the problem of missing files and duplicate folders.

Go figure???????

Regards,

Arie

Well if it happens again, feel free to post again (here or in a new thread). Best of luck with the tutorials and thanks for trying out Fusion360!
