Extruding in multiple directions at once

Hi,

After quite a bit of googling I can't get the extrude tool to work the way I am used to in other 3D apps. I expect this is because I am trying to use fusion the wrong way, but can anyone tell me if the process illustrated in the attached image is even possible in fusion?
