I need some help with the extrude feature.
So I have an extruded square base, to begin with, with some thickness.
Now, I'm trying to cut a triangle shape out of this base at a specific angle.
So I drew a rectangle shape on that base and then cut-extruded it with 45 degrees angle.
The issue I have is with the edges, I can't figure out how to extrude it all the way to the sides (the extrusion direction in vertically) at the same angle
Attached is a screenshot that shows the problem,
.
Thanks!

Is this what you mean by vertical extrusion?
Then I think you should write these sketches and push them out.
Like this.
Please take a look at the video.

Thanks.
By vertically I mean from the top down (which was successful) however, it didn't cut extruded it all the way to the sides.
The reply above you helped me figure out what should I do.
