Extruding (?) from a multifaceted surface

Hi there
I'm reasonably competent with Fusion, but struggling with this:

We are trying to 3d print a protective face mask for a child who wants to play soccer, but who needs facial protection, because of a complicated eye condition. The idea is to protect the eyes from the soccer ball, without haing to place lenses over the eyes, as they always steam up, not matter what they are coated in.
I've attached a screenshot of a low poly scan from someone's face, which we are using as a test for this process.
I want to "draw" the line of the mask on the surface of the face and then extrude that shape outwards to the thickness that I think suitable to create an adequately thick mask.

I can neither extrude multiple polygons in the same direction, nor can I shell the body in order to make the mask.
I'm attaching the warning from the shell command as well.
Can anyone suggest a workflow for this, please?

@hfcandrew on an unrelated note-what software are you using for your screen capture?

For this forum I used to use 'autodesk screencast': https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/tsarticles/ts/71QzAbqSskV6l5Hm0ULMMp.html

But like all good Autodesk products, Meshmixer included, it has been discontinued.

Right now I use Captura:

https://mathewsachin.github.io/blog/2023/04/09/captura-unmaintained.html

Download: https://github.com/MathewSachin/Captura/releases/tag/v9.0.0-beta3

With this FFmpeg codec for mp4 . https://www.videohelp.com/software?d=ffmpeg-5.0.1-full_build.7z

Which is also unsupported...

I must have the touch of death.

Why do you ask?

Since the demise of AD screencast I've been looking for a good screen capture utility.   I like how what you used captured keystrokes and mouse clicks. (and apparently microphone when it's enabled 😀).

@hfcandrew don't worry and thanks again for all the awesome.
I don't think I'll have a problem as I can see the menu items you're accessing.
Amazing support here 🙂

I use OBS.  It is very powerful but does not natively capture mouse clicks or keyboard strokes. There are secondary apps that can do that. Just takes a bit of googling and research to find one you like.

Ya I went down that same path looking around. Captura has a intuitive and very easy to use GUI, hotkey enabled, good video compression, adjustable FPS, low RAM usage, keyboard stroke and mouse clicks automatically captured/overlayed and integrated video trimming.
