I was given a dwg file with the copperplate gothic bold text in it to cut on the CNC router. I extruded the text and cut a sample piece but the sides have the vertical lines on them like in the picture. Is there any way to make the sides smooth or merge all of the faces in Fusion?
You seem not to have a lot of letters to smooth the sides so my process is manageable. What you have to do is convert the point to point curves in these letters to splines. Take a look at the screencast. Here is an example of a "G" where I removed the segments. As I mentioned in the screencast, I did not have your exact font but you will get the general idea.
