I am trying to extrude to make a fin (the half heart shape). I have tried adding another sketch line to complete the "circuit" but that turns black and my blue line stays the same. Thank you.

If I am reading your model correctly, your sketch, of the heart shape, is on the wrong plane.  If my return model is what you desire and you cannot read the timeline, let me know and I will do a Screencast.  The heart shape is a spline and it is very difficult to fully constrain a spline.  Key points can be dimensioned but that is about all you can do.  I extruded it the fully length of the other body but this can easily be changed by editing the last extrusion in the timeline.

Is this what you're trying to do? Then you don't need to make new sketches, just draw the spline in your first sketch so you'll get a closed profile:

Thank you both for helping. Not exactly. I am trying to make 3 individual fins like this.

First of all, you can use one sketch for multiple extrudes (though it's not usually recommended to make complicated sketches):

If you need 3 fins, then use Pattern:

If still this is not what you want at least show it with a hand sketch.

Not quite. My question is in this picture, the highlighted blue, why cant I extrude? F360 wont allow me to highlight it. I have done something similar and was able to make fins but I changed the design a little at the top.

the model pictured in your last post isn't the same as the model you actually attached.  in the original model the profile you are indicating is off in 3d space and not on a sketch plane.  both @jhackney1972 and @hamid.sh. have already alluded to this.  in order to get an extrudable profile, the sketch needs to form a closed shape, and all sketch objects have to be planner.  this can be achieved off in 3d space, but it's much easier to do if you keep everything on a sketch plane.  with out the latest model to look at, I would guess something has been knocked out of plane, so it won't form a profile.

@killbillvol13 I see you've used Move in your timeline. I believe some commands in Fusion 360 must have a warning attached to them, telling users something like "Are you sure you want to use this command!?" (literally with the exclamation mark). Move is one such tool. Please try to avoid using Move in design whenever a better option is available.

Good info. Appreciate it. How would you go about doing this design?

You can use Pattern, as I suggested in my previous reply. I also changed my previous file by doing Extrude and Pattern in two directions symmetrically. Check the attached file. If you need the fins to be separate bodies change my operation type in the second Extrude from Join to New Body.
