Extrude does not work

Hi all,

I am just starting out with cad and Fusion 360, I have no previous experience with cad at all so sorry if I am asking a very basic question.

When I build a box and use the extrude or push pull the model does not show anything everything just disappears. I can not figure out how to fix this. I have tried following some tutorials and I do everything they show when they are building something and I still can't see the object. I am sure it is something I am doing wrong, if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

In the upper right corner check your navigation to make sure you are in the same view as before if things go "missing."

Are you getting any error messages?

Try a very simple shape and make sure it is closed loop.

Pressing the Q Key on the keyboard and using your mouse to pull the extrude should be giving you a realtime preview.

Watch a few YouTube videos on it and hopefully that will help.

Can you download screencast and make a video of what you're doing, or attach some screen grabs. Can you view the sample files OK, I just wonder if you have a graphic card\driver problem.

I posted this in another thread and it might be something for you to check.

What graphics card do you have, does it meet the minimum specs for Fusion. Click on the Graphics Diagnostics and get a screen grab of the dialog and attach. Minimum specs here.

Also on the diagnostic dialog you could try activating Limit all effects to see if that helps and see if there are any updates for you're graphic card driver.

Mark,

Thanks for the help. Sorry I am getting back to you so late but I work nights and had to go to work.

I think the problem is with the graphics card its integrated graphics and I dont think it will support it. I have attached a copy of the GPU informaion.

[GPU Information]
GPU Device: Intel(R) HD Graphics
GPU RAM: 64 MB (Integrated card)
GPU Driver API: DirectX 9.0
GPU Driver Version: 8.15.10.2104
GPU Driver Date: 03/31/2010

[Graphics Effects Settings]
Anti Aliasing: Off
Ambient Occlusion: Off
Object Shadow: Off
Ground Shadow: Off
Ground Reflection: Off
Selection Display Style: Simple
Transparency Effect: Better Performance

[Notes]
1. If you have another discrete GPU on your system it is recommended to run Fusion on it to get better performance.

2. The graphics card driver version is old and could be out of date; please check with your GPU vendors to download and install the latest one.

3. The effects could slow down the graphics rendering; try to limit them for optimum performance.

[Limit all effects to provide optimum performance]
On

Thanks for the help!
