Extensive tutorial suggestions?

Hi, I am new to fusion 360, but have experience with SW, SE and a little bit in Inventor student edition.

I am excited to learn fusion as quickly as possible and nothing is better for that than some complex tutorials that have a concrete goal.

I have looked for some tutorials for building an car engine or plane engine, but this far have not found one that is complete (from start to finish including the final assembly). I do not need it to contain the CAD files since I would of course make those myself throughout the tutorial.

Hoping someone here can point me to one.

Best Regards

I APOLOGISE...

Turns out that if you change the option for mirroring to identical, you do not get this issue. So no work around is required. The behaviour above occurs if you leave the default option on which is "adjust".

Beyondforce This is what @sergei8219 is referring to. I have run into this before my self. I only explained a workaround that I use.

Thanks for the mention, @HughesTooling, I was blissfully ignoring this thread, since it appeared to be documentation-based, which is out of my area of knowledge.  @TheCADWhisperer is correct - this was reported earlier:  fillet-problem.  Looking at the bug I filed on that, it shows as fixed, but I think the relevant fix has not quite made its way out into the real world yet - it should be part of the upcoming Jan 18 update.

Now, if anyone is curious about why this fails, it's very interesting, actually.  It deals with one of the more challenging parts of CAD software:  naming of entities.  If you are really interested, feel free to take a look at this reference:  Generic Naming . In Generative, Constraint-Based Design.  Part of the algorithm focuses on adjacent faces.  If you look at this design, you will see that, if you only look at adjacent faces, both the inside edge and the outside edge are exactly the same!  Both have the torus cut and the top face of the cylinder as adjacent faces.  So, we were getting them confused.  The fix was to add more distinguishing information.
