So I am trying to create a jig that could be used to quickly cut pipe at angles. This jig will be 3d printed and will give good enough of an angle so a pipe can be quickly inserted and cut to the angle. The cut and the jig are all 90° but as the pipe is going in at an angle, it will cut the pipe at an needed angle, thus no need to mess with the fence ° or cutting blade °.
The pipe size and symmetry were created via the loft tool to join two pipes of the same size. I created a block by sketching on one of the faces that needs to be cut, and extruded it to an length. Then I took that pipe and used the cut tool to remove the pipes dimensions.
The issue is that this pipe is shorter than the jig size and when I try to lengthen it, it does the extend in a different direction. I need the extend to follow the angle/direction of the pipe, as a longer piece stock will be inserted.
