Exporting multiple selected components as a individual meshes

I have a large assembly with many components that are either 3d printed, or purchased hardware. I am looking for a way to export the printed parts quickly for testing without individually doing it one component at a time, or exporting the entire project's bodies. I cant get the export utility to work on just multiple selected items, and I also can't get the right click export as mesh function on the top level object to ignore hidden bodies.

What are my solutions here? Thanks!

As far as I know Fusion 360 has this limitation in exporting, i.e. it exports either one or all. What I would do is make a new file and use Insert Derive to bring my selected components (or bodies) there and then export from there.

Hello, - I am convinced that it makes more sense to select your parts individually. WHY?? so that you can later logically place them on your print bed. WHY? so that you can avoid supporting structures. WHY YET? so that you can optimize layers to strengthen your parts. WHY? so that you can use different parameters. WHY still ?? trust in a tried and tested procedure. best regards mango - merry christmas

You can export STL or other format per assembly or one file per body.  The Screencast will explain.  Sorry for the poor quality of the sound, I did not have my headset available.

I can point to two Fusion 360 add-ins that might allow you to do this:

3D Print Plus & 3D Print Pro

Export-It (exports entire projects in various formats)

Thank you for the responses. Unfortunate it seems like all the suggestions, except the extension suggestion which don't seem to give me the solution either, are the methods I described in the opening post. I can either export every body in the file as separate files, or individually export every body. The first seems like a good solution, however it quickly becomes a mess when you have 400 pieces of purchased hardware you need to weed out of the 300 printed bodies then fix the file names to just have the component name.

If any Fusion devs find this, I hope you would consider allowing export of selection sets as individual meshes.
