exporting components

Hello all,

Creating assemblies is a new skill im trying to learn and would like some help please. What I would like to do is basically take all my components and export them as DXF files so i can use another software package to nest and cut on my CNC.

If it is possible to do lay out flat, nest(either automatically or manually), then cut in fusion that would make it even better !! I love fusion 360 CAM !!

- - - attached is my first assembly- - -

You are mixing terms and procedures, I don't use Fusion CAM,

but have experience with CNC mills, lathes but more recently with Laser cutting, and 3d printing.

You like Fusion CAM, but asked for dxf files for other software, you can do both.

Both are wildly differently workflows.

Dxf files, are sketch / body outline exports.

CAM in Fusion can use either sketches or 3d models.

I use the Addin called DXFer, from GitHub to take the face of your body/s, multiples are ok, and collect them all in a dxf file, to export.

Nesting routines have not been developed, yet.

Might help...

Nester is also in GitHub, by the same author,

I used it before he developed DXFer,

Nester does linear nesting, needs components, and worked fine.

I don't need to construct the components in my work, so the DXFer is a better fit for me.
