Exporting a surface body to an STL

Hi, I'm trying to modify a 3DLabPrint file, specifically the cockpit of a Mig 15 jet, so i can make space for a camera. I have imported the file into Fusion 360, deleted some faces and then converted it using the BREP function. Unfortunately Fusion360 wont let me export it as a .stl file and the icon suggests its a surface body, which im assuming is the issue? If so, how do i solve this issue?

Thanks

Hi,
Would you mind listing out how you did it step by step as fusion kept crashing/refusing to when I tried.

Thanks very much.

Pretty basic:

Click on model.

Right click on body in Browser.

Select 'Save as STL'.

Have you reported the crashes to Autodesk?  They're pretty good about finding the cause of a crash if you post the CER #.

Thanks very much, i got it to convert but now both Cura and S3D give weird results when i slice it. Is this a slicer setting issue or do you think its something wrong with the model?

It's probably the model.  You could try repairing it in MeshMixer or Netfabb basic.

You could also try reducing the number of facets when exporting the STL

Perhaps one of the other file types would work better.
