Exported STEP Model Wrong Color

When I'm in 360 I can see the model is black but when it get's exported the model comes into the other program (Altium PCB Designer) as a white body. I've tried changing the appearance of the bodies but so far everything gets exported as white.

george,

Can you please share your modle with me so that I can test the STEP export on your model.

Here is a link on how to share a public link:

I was able to confirm exporting as a STEP file does strip out the colors. Exporting as a SAT file does not, would that work for you or not? Can you just tell me how you are applying the colors to the file in Fusion?

Regards,

Don

I actually started with a STEP model and modified it. When I exported and loaded the STEP model into Altium Designer (which only accepts STEP models) I saw that the body wasn't white. I tried changing the appearance but nothing I tried changed the body color.

Is the STEP file that is created AP214 or AP203? I read that AP203 does not support colors? What's a bit odd to me is that the pads on the bottom of the part do come through as gold so perhaps this provides a clue to the problem?
