Export to Bambu Labs issues

Greetings,

I made a very nice and very complex design in Fusion 360 using student edition. I tried to export the model to Bambu Studio using the "Save as mesh" option with high refinement quality. When I import the .3MF file into Bambu Studio, the main structure is accurate, but the text that I embedded into the object via the extrude function is blown out of proportion and misplaced. I do not know how to fix this. Please help!!

Can you share your fusion design?

If so, please export it as a .f3d (or.f3z) file and attach it to a post.

Hi,

I do have a bit of experience with many Slicers, including Bambu and Bambu

Studio slicer. I have found recently that Fusion does not always get a good

translation file directly into 3mf. Not sure why as Fusion claims it is supported.

In my recent experience I have simply exported as a Mesh and selected ASCII

STL as my file type. Bambu recognises this and imports it without any issues

I have had so far. I have been working on a Ducted Fan with some very complex

geometry and get good prints using this method. I also do a Save As Mesh

directly on the Component and NOT use the Export Command.

Try it out and see if I makes a difference.

Cheers

Andrew

@neptune06p2v_eaa @Drewpan , if you are experiencing problems, please share your Fusion files, your workflow, and what you want to accomplish.  I'd be happy to look at it and/or tag an Autodesk employee to look into it.

Hello friends, thank you for your response! I was able to get the issue figured out. I needed to extrude the logo a little more and I needed to export the overall model as a STEP, not a STL. Finally, I used the "Fix Model" tool in Bambu Studio to fix the broken aspects of the model.

Many thanks for your assistance! Have a great day!
