export mesh as STEP

Hi,

Are there any methods to export a mesh from Fusion 360 as any other file types other than .OBJ and .STL?

Thanks

Stl and obj are mesh file formats. Meshes can be exported in all of the other non-mesh formats available in the Export dialog.

@etfrench Do you mean after converting to a brep? I just tried exporting a mesh as a STP file and it doesn't work, igs gives an error and doesn't work either.

Before asking that question, maybe you should start explaining what you want to do with the exported file.

While STEP files can also contain meshes (Fusion 360's implementation of export might not) the question is really whether the software you are going to use to import that STEP file actually knows what to do with this.

That's odd. Both of those file formats exported without an error on my machine (Windows 10).  I didn't convert the mesh to brep.
