Compute All fails on this imported dxf, ellipse_polyline3.dxf, with the message:

"Fail to generate profile, usually because some curves overlap but not exactly."

The dxf originated in the file, Ellipse_dxf_Parent.f3d, from Component2/Sketch4. The short elliptical arcs were created by using the break tool.  There are no error warnings on the sketch in this file.

The changes made in the 2d Cad program, Visual CADD 6.0, were to remove the arcs and draw the straight lines.  Both of these operations could have been done in Fusion 360, but the tools in Visual CADD were easier to use.  Visual CADD also exposes the properties of the geometry such as the following:

#1  [Ellip Arc], UID: 245, Layer: 0, Color: 15:(LP), LnType: 0:(LP), Width: 0:(LP), #Pts: 7
   p1: -105.00000mm,0.00000mm  p2: 105.00000mm,0.00000mm  p3: 0.00000mm,88.83173mm
  p4: 0.00000mm,-88.83173mm  p5: -15.44683mm,87.86522mm  p6: -16.03777mm,87.78941mm
  p7: -16.62818mm,87.71075mm
Length: 1.19141mm,  Area: Not Closed sq

Very strange.  No idea. No help here except I can confirm that I get the same problem on my machine.

It looks like fusion doesn't think of the short lines as being constrained to anything.  The whole thing acts like there are some constraints when you try to move certain things around, but no constraints are visible.  And fusion still thinks of those short segments as being ellipses, which is evident when you try to move one of the endpoints around.

have you tried the same process using a closed spline instead of an ellipse?  I've always had problems with split ellipses going hay wire (I seem to remember a comment about a bug related to splitting ellipses.

Also, may be related to the way visual cad exports, because if you export sketch 4 from fusion, and import that back in, there isn't a problem.
